The famous producer '1880' makes these brittle almond turron rounds by bonding Marcona almonds with orange blossom honey. They add a little egg white to the recipe to insure crunchiness, then place the round between a light eggwhite paper for easier handling. These 'tortas' are made by the famous producer '1880' whose products are recognized throughout Spain as meeting the highest standard of turron production. Following an artisal process they are made in Jijona, Alicante - for centuries the center of turron production in Spain.
