| Customer Reviews: Great Product April 17, 2010 K. Robinson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I absolutely love this headset. I won't talk on the phone without a headset. I love this one, because, it doesn't hurt when I place it in my hear like the round ear pieces. I have used many diffent headsets and this is the best one yet. I didn't give this product 5 stars because, they don't last as long as I would like. But again, that could be since I use it all day every day. I would love for body glove to come out with a wireless bluetooth with the same design for the ear,
I recoommend this product to all my friends.
Mostly what I expected September 4, 2010 TrackPants7 (Vancouver, WA) I bought one of these new from the store about three years ago, and it was perfect but as things go it didn't last forever, and the main problem was that the old earpiece had the misfortune of falling partially in my car's console when I shut it, thus mangling the poor thing's wires on the inside, meaning I could no longer communicate with it.
Anyway the replacement I ordered only came with the silver and white ear 'clip' accessories, no big since I still have the old black one, but would kind of annoy me if I didn't. Also the main cord section [from the mic/talk button to the jack] is a lot less uniform...the old one had this firm, neat way where it could easily be coiled up. The cord is still tougher than hell but unfortunately not quite as shapely... Also the supplied clip is kind of a joke...it's a good idea but overall the earpiece seems to have been designed as far away from being bulky as possible, and as a result it's hard to make something small enough that will let you attach it to your shirt, visor, blanket, etc. and keep it secure. Basically if you sneeze the clip will still be where you put it but the cord will slide off. I recommend just keeping the clip safe in a junk drawer or something.
Overall I'm nitpicking, I suppose...the important thing is that I can still talk on it, and the earpiece, unlike most, has a sort of tapered shape that actually fits comfortably in my ear for long periods of time, and despite the unruly cord section still looks kinda fashionable.
Obvious advantages are that it's going to work with any phone set, and if you're yakking for awhile you can keep that fancy and possibly radiating wireless phone a little further from your noodle and be more productive with the free hand...for gaming, drawing, dishes, gear changing, gun fighting, etc..
Disadvantages the cord may now simply tangle up as easily as the rest of them, and mine didn't come with the black shape holder.
Stiff, poorly designed cables August 11, 2010 J. Cullen (Boston, MA) The cables on the headset have a nylon braiding overtop of them to make them "tangle resistant". The problem is when the rough surface of the cable rubs against itself it comes through very loudly into the ear pieces. Poor design. Other than that it works and is comfortable. Just don't walk with it on!
