5 out of 5 stars all right by me !!!   November 21, 2007

Swingline makes excellent brand name staples for its line of staplers. These fit nicely in my stapler; and they sure are well worth the price--and more!

Just as another reviewer notes, these staples really hold things together. While I have not used these staples to attach posters to trees, I am not surprised to read that they worked for that project. The staples are remarkably well made even though they are so slender and narrow. It's actually rather surprising.

I highly recommend these staples for Swingline brand staplers. I think it's best to use the Swingline staples with the brand name stapler.

4 out of 5 stars 5,000?   August 10, 2007

You can't get an even 5,000 staples in a box if each strip is the same length and contains 210 staples.

It looks like you get 24 strips: three columns of four rows of pairs of strips. I had a hard time counting the number of staples in each strip (maybe another day?). If we just accept that there are 210 staples per strip, then a box has 5,040 staples -- and you get an extra 40 free. Which is good because at least that many jam in my stapler (a Swingline 747) over the course of a box's usage.

5 out of 5 stars The world's greatest staples.   April 3, 2005

I don't think there is any way to describe just what these staples did for me. First, they helped me put up my Missing posters around the neighbourhood, and I was able to find my cat Missy. Then, I used the staples in a staple gun Russian Roulette contest. Convincing the other guy to go first was the best decision I ever made, but I had the staples to thank ultimately. Then, the staples drove my wife and me to the hospital when I broke my foot and she was about to deliver the baby. I was sort of out of it at the time, so that could have been our friend Jill, but I'd like to believe that if it was, the staples inspired her to drive fast enough.

Thank you, Standard Regular Point Full-Strip Staples, 1/4", 5000/Cardboard Box SWI25108!

5 out of 5 stars Out of an entire pack, only three got all bent up and weird   December 11, 2004

Usually when I staple something, I do it fast and I do it angry. I want that staple to go through the paper, and I don't want to ask a lot of questions later. But I've noticed that many times, the staples either turn into kind of squished S-formation on the top of the paper stack, or they go through and don't pinch together on the other side, leaving a potential for injury. These staples worked almost all the time. For that, the manufacturers at Swingline have my deepest gratitude. Of course, I was stapling shorter documents. So maybe that was a factor also.
