5 out of 5 stars Sweet buds - comfortable and works with my phone   August 4, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Summary: The sound is good and helps cancel outside noise. The noise cancellation is especially handy when speaking on the cell phone.

Buy a $9 headphone extension cord from Radio Shack, model #42-2559, to add 12" on the short cord, get in-line volume control, and help prevent stress on the jack from the 3.5mm adapter.

With the extension, these are some sa-weet all-in-one buds at a reasonable price.

Details:

I don't feel any discomfort from the ear loops. But this was after repositioning the ear bud so the wire fits nicely into my ear. Make sure there are no twists in the ear bud wire. If there are no twist, the plastic ear loop feels fine. If there are twists, then you may feel some pain on the ear from the ear loop.

I do see what Joshua Bies writes about the stress on the jack when the adapter is in place. With the adapter, the stress could break the connections innternally. To counter this jack connecton stress, add some length to the cord, and get in-line volume control, I bought Radio Shack "Volume Control Headphone Extension Cord", model #42-2559 for $9. The extension will add another 12" to the cord for the 3.5 mm devices.

For using it for the cell phone, 2.5 mm jack, I agree that the cord might be too short. I can't put my cell phone in the pants have deep pockets. To make up for this, I'll hold the phone (especially good in public so people don't think I'm talking to God or the voices in my head - joke), find a shirt with a pocket, or tuck the cell phone between me and my pants at the beltline.

Cell phone call button works with my old-school Samsung SPH-A620 (aka VGA100). I tested the clarity by calling someone on a land-line. The person said my voice comes in clear and I could hear the person fine. When the jack rotated it so it hit against the cell phone shell, the plug did lift and sound was temporarily lost. See caveat below.

Caveat: I have the model CRC74869 (slightly older model probably, but likely the same functionally looking at the model numbers. Just remove the '02' at the end of this model number 7486902). Model 7486902 might not have the lifting problem.

Note: I bought the model CRC74869 from a Seattle-area Radio Shack for $38 (could have saved $10 if I would have returned and ordered online but I'm an impatient consumer sometimes). Ray, the Radio Shack salesperson recommeded. He also owns a pair for his iPod. If you're reading this, thanks Ray and stay cool.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Ear Buds   August 1, 2008
Great earbuds, nice and comfy with minimal wind-noise even at high speed (ie: flying down a mountain on a snowboard or mountain bike) ; must have for any blackberry enthusiast that enjoys the full phone / mp3 function of their phone.

3 out of 5 stars Close, but lacking   July 28, 2008
I was excited for a quality set of headphones, but these just didn't meet the mark. The complaints are true: the cord is short, and the music quality is lacking (maybe it's just my mp3 player phone?). Also, after about 10 minutes running, at least one ear bud gets slippery enough and starts to come out. I haven't had any complaints on the microphone quality, but if the thing doesn't work well enough to use, what's the point?

4 out of 5 stars Good BUT NOT Great!   April 22, 2008
The only thing I have against this producut is the EASY removable or interchangable clear ear insert covers. I have already lost 2. Otherwise it works good as headphones and cellphone earpiece.

5 out of 5 stars Best Headphones I've ever used for Running   February 14, 2008
4 out of 4 found this review helpful

I can run with these for many miles in heat and they don't fall off - only one's I've found yet that do that. I do see the concern with the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter mentioned by another as I use this with an ipod - not a phone so will try to get an extension or better adapter but the ear fit is second to none - snug into the ear makes the music good and loud. I've used them for months now running from sprints to 20+ miles and they just stay on.
